Blockbuster
The first Blockbuster store was opened in October, 1985. They now have over 8000 stores worldwide with 897 in Britain. Like most other rental stores, they tend to stock more copies of new movies than older releases, in order to capitalize on heavy consumer demand but also stock recent television series as well as movies. In May 2004, Blockbuster also introduced a conventional online subscription service with monthly subscriptions and DVDs, Blu-ray discs and games for most popular games consoles delivered to your door with no late fees.
